Creative Healing Art Therapy Groups on Zoom
Two Groups:
For Therapists and other Practitioners
For Those who wish to Recover from Compulsive Eating and Body Image Disorder
The sessions include a guided meditation, a creative art therapy experience, and a discussion to explore and process our work together.
The art experiences includes drawing, painting and collage.
The purpose of the guided meditations is to relax the mind so that it’s easier to access the deeper wisdom from within.
The purpose of creative arts therapy is to expand self-understanding and offer insight not available through other means. Art expressions are personal narratives conveyed through images. Finding personal meaning in one’s images is a powerful way of knowing oneself and a powerful form of healing.
It's an important time in our lives to get support in dealing with the difficult challenges of the day and to engage in a creative healing process that we can continue to integrate on a daily basis.
The next group for Therapists and other Practitioners, will start in January on Wednesday morning from 9:00 - 10:30.
The next group for Those who wish to Recover from Compulsive Eating and Body Image Disorder, will start in January on Thursday afternoons, from 4:00 - 5:30 or from 5:00 - 6:30. Time to be announced.
The groups will run for 90 minutes in order to give everyone time to create and process art. The groups fee is $45 for each 90 minute session. Advanced payment is required of $180 for every four sessions to reserve your space. If you have insurance, I am considered an out of network provider and can give you a statement for reimbursement. There can be special consideration for those in financial need.

"Making art is truly healing and livening. Bonnie’s guided meditations calmed me enough to allow unconscious and overwhelming feelings to surface without overwhelming me. Her art directives encouraged creative thinking and the process was cathartic. After sessions, I was inspired to write poems. I highly recommend these groups to anyone struggling with creative/writer’s block". - Kathryn Moreno, artist & art therapist

"Prior to the group I was not prioritizing making art due to the many other demands in my life. Bonnie Hirschhorn's creative art therapy zoom group allowed me the container to give myself that time and access the incredible insight reflective art making brings. As a result of four weeks in the group I am inspired and energized to continue to access my inner guidance through art making." Laura Aube, LPC, ATR-BC, Certified Imago Therapist

"These gatherings were a real privilege. They allowed us to have enough structure to get going, and plenty of freedom for our own direction.
It is a great use of time. A wonderful use of time. It allows surprises to emerge— what could be better!

"I signed up for Bonnie Hirschhorn's art therapy workshop and it was so much more than I expected. I gained more self awareness and how to deal with my difficult feelings and the changes in my life due to COVID. The guided meditations that she led, helped me create artwork from a deeper level and helped me to heal some of my family relationships. I have not seen my daughter in a few months and after sharing one of my experiences in the group to a family member, my daughter called me to invite me over to visit her. I was moved to tears. I am so glad that I set aside the time to take Bonnie's art therapy workshop. Investing in self care and having a safe and creative way to deal with my feelings is important and the convenience of the zoom sessions made it possible. Therefore, I would be happy to continue". Retired Research Scientist, Wednesday morning group participant.
